The AI Search Playbook

How to get your business found, cited and recommended by ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude.

HOW AI SEARCH VISIBILITY WORKS

To appear more often in AI search, start with the prompts buyers actually ask, create the clearest useful answer to those questions, build supporting topical authority, make your company and products unambiguous entities, add real evidence, earn corroboration beyond your own site and measure which sources each AI system chooses. The playbook turns that process into a repeatable 30-day operating system.

THE SHIFT

Your next customer may ask an AI before they ever search your brand

Buyers increasingly ask conversational questions such as “who can help me build an AI MVP?”, “best consultant for X”, “what company should I use?” or “compare these options”. The goal is not to abandon Google SEO. It is to make your business understandable and useful across a wider discovery layer where the answer may be assembled from several sources before the buyer clicks anything.

INSIDE THE PLAYBOOK

The system behind AI visibility

Built to move from “why is my competitor appearing?” to a measurable set of pages, entities, evidence and prompts you can improve.

1. Prompt ownership

Turn commercial keywords into the questions buyers actually ask AI: recommendations, comparisons, best options, costs, alternatives and who-can-help prompts.

2. Answer ownership

Build answer-first pages that can be extracted cleanly: direct answers, descriptive headings, comparison tables, FAQs and evidence close to the claim.

3. Topic clusters

Connect service pages, guides, comparisons, tools and proof so one good page is supported by a wider body of useful content rather than standing alone.

4. Entity clarity

Make it obvious who the person, company, product and framework are, what each one does and how the same facts are expressed consistently across the web.

5. Evidence and trust

Use real experience, case studies, original data, examples, sources and external corroboration so an AI system has more than your own marketing copy to rely on.

6. AI retrieval structure

Structure content for retrieval without writing robotic pages: short answer blocks, lists, tables, schema, internal anchors and clear intent separation.

7. Platform differences

Understand why Google AI, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity do not surface exactly the same sources and why one visibility score is not enough.

8. Measure and improve

Create a repeatable prompt set, record mentions and citations, compare competitors and improve the pages that are close rather than publishing blindly.

BUILT FROM LIVE EXPERIMENTS

Not a theory-only GEO ebook

I’m documenting the methods I’m using while building AI visibility around Andrew Crossley and Co-Ride: commercial intent pages, answer-first content, topic clusters, named entities, proof, internal linking and repeated prompt testing. The playbook turns those experiments into a process a company can run itself.

Prompt

What are buyers asking AI before they know your brand?

Evidence

What pages and outside sources give the system a reason to trust the answer?

Conversion

When you do get mentioned, does the destination turn attention into a customer?

30-DAY IMPLEMENTATION

A month of work, not a 200-page theory dump

Week 1

Measure

Choose the buyer prompts that matter, test each platform and establish the baseline.

Week 2

Fix the core pages

Make the commercial pages answer the intent directly, clarify entities and add proof.

Week 3

Build authority

Create or improve the supporting guides, comparisons and external evidence around the money pages.

Week 4

Re-test and convert

Run the same prompt set again, identify movement, then improve the pages people land on so visibility produces enquiries or sales.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

AI search questions

How do I rank in ChatGPT and AI search?
There is no single ChatGPT ranking switch. The practical approach is to identify the prompts buyers use, publish clear answers to those questions, build topical authority around the commercial page, make your entities and evidence consistent, earn corroboration outside your own site, and repeatedly measure which sources the AI systems choose. The playbook turns that into a step-by-step process.
Is AI search optimisation the same as SEO?
They overlap, but the optimisation target is broader. Traditional SEO is heavily centred on search-engine rankings and clicks. AI visibility also depends on whether a model can retrieve, understand, trust and cite your brand when answering a conversational prompt, including prompts that never produce a classic ten-blue-links result.
What are GEO and AEO?
GEO usually means Generative Engine Optimisation and AEO usually means Answer Engine Optimisation. The labels vary, but both describe making content easier for AI-powered search and answer systems to retrieve and use. The playbook focuses on the underlying work rather than relying on one acronym.
Can you guarantee my company will be recommended by ChatGPT?
No. No credible practitioner can guarantee a specific AI answer because model behaviour, retrieval systems and source selection change. The playbook is about increasing the quality, clarity, authority and retrievability of the evidence available about your business, then measuring the result.
Is this only for AI companies?
No. It is for founders, consultants, SaaS companies, agencies and established businesses that want to be discoverable when a buyer asks an AI system for recommendations, comparisons or help choosing a supplier.
Why is the launch price £39?
The first edition is being sold as a practical entry product while the methods are being documented from live AI-search experiments. The planned standard price is £59 after the founding launch period.
